Back In Brooklyn

Barcelona Graffi

Woot, made it back to Brooklyn safe and sound. All and all it was a most enjoyable trip. Lots of great bars and restaurants and, I hear, great museums and stuff too.

I will be taking a few days off to recuperate and catch up on things and then on Monday it is Bar Man's and the Mysterious Chinese Woman's anniversary. I figured I better take that day off seeing as how I missed Valentine's Day this year while slurping down margaritas in Mexican Radio.

Welcome back Barman! I'm looking forward to the pictures and added descriptions. As you can see a lot of blog spam has invaded in your absence.
I was just reading a discussion of good NYC bars on and a couple people said Park Slope in Brooklyn is the place to go. I typically visit the City 1 or 2 weekends a year and have only been to a handful of Brooklyn bars, having mostly concentrated on Manhattan. Would you second their recommendation, and what neighborhood(s) in any of the boroughs would you consider the best or your favorite(s) for barhopping?

I wasn't able to clear out the blog spam when I was in Spain but am trying to do so now. Whenever I spot it I try to delete it.

Park Slope isn't a bad area but I think I prefer Hell's Kitchen and the East Village overall.

On Atlantic Avenue you could hit Hank's, Brazen Head, Pete's Waterfront, Floyd's, Last Exit, Magnetic Field, and Monterro's. These are all good bars and all close together except for Hank's which is about six blocks away fron the rest of them. I have visited them all and written about them on my blog so you can just do a search and see what I had to say about them.

Hey! Found your blog when looking for stuff on Valentine's Day. Not quite what I was looking for, but a good read anyhow, so I thought I'd post a comment. Me and My Valentine's Day Site.
