My brother, who owns the Left Bank Cafe in Slayton, Minnesota, sent me this shirt. He said I should be sure to mention that you can order coffee from him on-line and it is shipped while still warm from the roaster. I can personally vouch that it is very good coffee indeed and few people know more about roasting coffee than he does.
Shameless plug, I know, but he made me do this.

By the way, Bar Man went to the Bronx Zoo yesterday and in addition to being totally worn out by his three young nieces got quite a bit of sun, as you can probably see. I plan on working on my bar room pallor a bit tomorrow though.

I know you probably get people telling you how envious they are *all* the time. So I won't say it :-)
I'll just say Feilte, Prost, Nasdrovye and Cheers instead. If I ever get to retire myself (sigh), I think I might do the same. But with "cafes" in Amsterdam ;-). With aspirations like that, I doubt I will ever retire though.
I found this quote while I was browsing your blog:
Even though a number of people have tried, no one has yet found a way to drink for a living. ~Jean Kerr
I think you may have come close.
I too have spent time in Amsterdam and it would be tough to hit 1000 Coffee Shops in a year. Just too easy to settle in.
I saw your earlier post about Photobucket. I see that you are still using Photobucket, so maybe you upgraded. If not recommended yet, how about Flickr.com? It also has a limit, but your pictures get free publicity in the Flickr community.
PS. A fellow blogger from Xanga pointed me to your site. Not sure if you know this, but you can activate the option so that commenters can be non-Bloggers (i.e. Xangans or anonymous).
Smhyla,
I upgraded Photobucket. It seemed the easiest thing to do. I allowed anonymous once and within minutes had someone posting porn so I changed it back.
